I pellet sono cilindretti di segatura ottenuti dagli scarti della lavorazione di legno (duro al 60% e tenero al 40%), essicati e pressati. Sono una fonte di energia naturale, rinnovabile e pulita perchè privi di additivi chimici e non richiedono l’uso di alcun legante artificiale (lo è già la lignina, componente naturale del legno). La lavorazione riduce al minimo l’umidità residua per garantire un’ottima combustione e un elevato potere calorico.

Pellets are small cylinders of sawdust made from the rejects of wood processing (hard proof at 60% and soft proof at 40%), dried and pressed. Using pellets means that you are using renewable energy, because pellets are made without any chemical agents or synthetic woods. The production process reduces the humidity level at minimum and grants the best combustion and a high heating capacity.

Esistono diverse varietà di pellet: il migliore è quello ottenuto dal legno vergine di faggio e/o abete. A garanzia della qualità la confezione deve riportare le sue caratteristiche intrinseche (tipo di legno, max potere calorico, luogo di provenienza) e le varie certificazioni di qualità internazionali (DIN 51731 e O-NORM) su forma, misure e compattezza.

There are different types of pellet: the best one to use is made of beech ofir wood. To grant the quality, the pellet bag should report all the characteristics of pellets like: kind of wood, max. heating capacity, origin and all the international quality certifications (DIN 51731 and O-NORM) regarding shape, size and density.
